Year 2006 marks the 95th Anniversary of Hong Kong Scouting while year 2007 is the Centenary of World Scouting. To celebrate these 2 important milestones of Scouting, Hong Kong some 4,000 Scouts will hold a large scale jamboree camp at the West Kowloon Cultural District site at the end of the year. This is the first time Hong Kong hosts an international jamboree of this size in the heart of our city. I believe this camp will give all participants much memorable moments.
The Jamboree will be opened to all Scouts locally and internationally. Mainland China youths will also be invited. There will be 5 sub-camps at the Jamboree. A Count Down Ceremony at the strike of twelve will kick off the Centenary of World Scouting in 2007. I see you at the camp.
